Wild horse rescued from Placitas septic tank

PLACITAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A horse has returned to the wild thanks to some local firefighters. A Placitas wild horse fell into a private backyard septic tank Thursday night. The Rio Grande Basin Heavy Technical Rescue Team, that’s trained in large animal rescues, responded. They used a specialized harness and a tractor to rescue the horse and released it back into the wild.
