LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) – New lapel video shows the moment a Game and Fish officer shot a rabid fox.

Back in January, KRQE News 13 reported on the Las Vegas woman who was bitten by the fox after trying to feed it dog food.

Tuesday, the Department of Game and Fish released the lapel video of the fox’s capture. The officer says he shot the animal on scene because it was exhibiting rabid behavior.

The test later confirmed the animal’s infection. Game and Fish reminds New Mexicans never to feed wild animals.
