The television series “Interrogation” will be filmed in New Mexico.

The New Mexico State Film Office announced Monday that CBS Television Studios will begin principal photography mid-March in Albuquerque.

The production will employ more than 150 New Mexico crew members and approximately 2,500 New Mexico background talent, which is about 250 per episode.

“This is another great example of how New Mexico is becoming a destination for both film and television production. These are good jobs that are helping to diversify our economy,” said Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes of the New Mexico Economic Development Department in a news release.

The series stars Peter Sarsgaard, Kyle Gallner, Kodi Smit-McPhee and David Strathairn. According to the news release, “Interrogation” is a true-crime drama series where the viewer becomes the detective. The series is also based on a true story that spanned more than 30 years, where a young man was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother.

Each of the episodes are structured around the interrogation.

The series was co-created by Anders Weidemann (“30 Degrees In February”) and John Mankiewicz (“House of Cards,” “Bosch”). The duo will serve as executive producers alongside Fabrik Entertainment’s Henrik Bastin (“Bosch”) and Melissa Aouate. The television series is directed by Ernest Dickerson (“Bosch,” “The Walking Dead”), who also serves as executive producer, and Patrick Cady.
