The man accused of hitting and killing a New Mexico teen is back behind bars all thanks to his mom. Sixteen-year-old Beto Romero from Gadsden High School was getting into his car outside his Berino home earlier this month when a speeding car hit and killed him. Authorities say it stemmed from a road rage incident.

Police say that driver was Oscar Anchondo. He’s suspected of being high on meth at the time of the crash. Anchondo was released with various conditions, but last week, Anchondo’s mother called authorities after she says her son left home.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was taken back into custody on Wednesday. He’ll be held behind bars on a no bond hold.
