The man accused of shooting an Albuquerque driver in the face will stay locked up for now.
Felix Villanueva is accused of shooting a man during a road rage incident near Jefferson and Cutler in February. He’s also connected to other violent crimes in the metro, some dating back to 2016.
Thursday in court, the state asked he be held until trial, saying he’s dangerous. Ultimately, Judge Brett Loveless agreed with the state and ordered Villanueva to be held without bond.
“Based on those circumstances the nature of the allegations themselves support the notion that the defendant may be likely to pose a threat to the safety of others,” Judge Brett Loveless said.
Villanueva was not happy to see KRQE News 13’s cameras Thursday, and even flipped off our camera man before his hearing.
