Facebook may soon have to pay big money to PNM.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, New Mexico’s Public Regulation Commission rejected the electric company’s request to make taxpayers foot the bill for a $39 million, 45-mile long transmission line that would extend from Clines Corners to Sandoval County.

Instead, the PRC suggested PNM bill Facebook for the cost for their data storage facility in Los Lunas. Two officials are now warning of negative economic impacts.
