Crews have cleaned up anti-Semitic vandalism that showed up in Santa Fe this week. The Santa Fe New Mexican captured a photo of the vandalism, in which someone wrote the word ‘Jews’ in white paint on a plaque at Railyard Park.
The plaque honors the Spiegelberg brothers, German Jewish merchants who were influential in turning Santa Fe into a modern city in the 1800s. The photo also appeared to be ripped off.
Santa Fe Police are reviewing security camera footage to see if they can identify a suspect. This is the first recorded act of antisemitism in Santa Fe this year.
