FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – Farmington police arrested a man with two active warrants after a SWAT situation in the area of Scott Avenue and San Juan Boulevard Saturday morning. Officials say 38-year-old Pedro Lee was taken into custody around 10:49 a.m. peacefully after barricading himself in a room at the Farmington Inn.

A shelter in place order was made for people staying at the Farmington Inn. At 9:19 a.m., FPD tweeted that negotiators and SWAT were on scene.

Lee’s warrants were for battery on a healthcare worker and aggravated battery on a household member and false imprisonment. On Saturday, he was charged with resisting and evading an officer.
