Shelter-in-place issued in Placitas Thursday night

PLACITAS, N.M. (KRQE) – The Sandoval County Sheriff’s Office has issued a shelter-in-place for residents of Placitas on Thursday night. According to the Sheriff’s Office, they were trying to issue a warrant on a subject and the person ran.

The Sheriff’s Office then proceeded to pursue the person to Edgewood. They say the person entered Placitas and fled on foot, possibly with another person.

The Sheriff’s Office said they are looking for a person or persons and are asking people to shelter-in-place. The Sheriff’s Office says they do not know if the subject was armed at any point.

No other information has been released at this time.
