Sen. Udall requests improvements at ports of entry

New Mexico

Amid the border wall and immigration fight, U.S. Senator Tom Udall is asking for improvements at ports of entry including the one in Santa Teresa.

Senator Udall says the port is a bright spot for trading and a growing area for economic development. He also says it’s important they are well equipped to check everything that comes and goes.

“Additionally, the railroad says the increase in Customs and Border Patrol resources would help with faster and more thorough inspections of goods crossing the border,” said Senator Tom Udall.

The committee said it would consider Udall’s requests.
