The Santa Fe superintendent’s quick thinking helped her escape two robbers.

Dr. Veronica Garcia says she was getting home last Wednesday night when two men came up to her, one carrying a large pipe.

He then demanded her purse.

Garcia asked him again what he said, then told him her purse was in her car and they could have it.

She walked to the driver’s side door and instead of handing it over hopped in and locked it, started the car, started honking and backed up.

The men took off. Police are still trying to identify them.
