Santa Fe superintendent running for Albuquerque senate seat

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE)- The Santa Fe Public Schools superintendent is planning to run for a state senate seat.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that Superintendent Veronica Garcia will be running as a Democrat for District 21, the Albuquerque upper Northeast Heights area where she and her husband live.

Garcia says if elected, she would still keep her job as the Santa Fe superintendent.
