Efforts to place banners of Our Lady of Guadalupe as a way to spur business is moving forward.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, Santa Fe’s Public Works Committee okayed the banners after a local reverend said he was fine with them being put up. He said he didn’t see them as commercialization of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
The banners would go along Guadalupe Street near the plaza and railyard.
City council is expected to hear the proposal May 29.
