Santa Fe City officials approved the city’s budget for the next fiscal year.

The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that last night, officials approved a $335 million budget including a $3.2 million surplus.

Police and fire will see an increase in the budget, with the majority of it going to pay and benefits.

Many other departments will start seeing a decrease in the budget like parks and recreation, which saw a growth over the past few years.

The budge also includes a 2 percent across the board pay increase for workers.

Mayor Webber says he intends to review the budge in six months.
