Santa Fe city councilors have rejected a new sign for the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, saying it’s ugly.

According to The Santa Fe New Mexican, the proposed 30-foot sign would be visible from the road. It’s built to house Verizon Wireless antennas.

City Councilor Joannie Vigil Copper says it looks like a prison guard tower.

Councilors are asking that Verizon figure out a more aesthetically pleasing way to accomplish its goal.
