A Santa Fe recreation center will shut down for mold clean up.
The Salvador Perez Recreation Center has shut down ahead of schedule for planned renovations after mold was found during a facility cleaning.
During the closure, nearly $2.5 million will go towards the cleanup, improving the pool, air circulation systems and ADA compliance.
The facility will reopen in December.
In the meantime, members can use Fort Marcy or Genova Chavez Community Center for free.
