A unique event offered a lesson in the history behind local farming. The Village of Corrales hosted its 14th Annual Running of the Tractors.
The event showcased more than 30 vintage tractors, some dating all the way back to 1938, along with classic cars and trucks. Organizers say it’s an opportunity to remember and appreciate 80-years of farming progression along the Rio Grande.
“All the way to the latest tractors that have computers on them, cruise control, the whole nine yards,” said Bob Pinkerton with the Corrales Tractor Club.
The event included a magic show, food trucks, hay rides and more. All of their proceeds went to the University of New Mexico’s Children’s Hospital.
