The Spring River Zoo in Roswell has passed its federal inspection.
Back in 2017, the zoo came under fire by PETA for what they called concerning animal behavior.
The USDA also cited the zoo for failing to meet some federal animal care standards.
Back in March, Roswell’s city council approved a zoo master plan, throwing $34 million worth of bonds to improve animal exhibits starting with the cougars and bears.
Wednesday, The Roswell Daily Record reports a surprise federal inspection found the zoo to be in full compliance with all standards.
