Roswell to unveil memorial honoring firefighter Jeff Stroble

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – The city of Roswell is honoring a firefighter who died following a freak fireworks accident.

This weekend, the city is unveiling its memorial to Jeff Stroble, who was packing fireworks for the city’s Fourth of July Festival when the explosion happened. Stroble’s memorial at the Roswell Convention Center will sit alongside other markers dedicated to Chaves County first responders who have died in the line of duty.

The ceremony begins Saturday morning at 10:00.
