A Roswell third-grader got a big honor from the fire department for saving her younger brother from a fire.
Rosalinda Gallo, her aunt, and her little brother were asleep one morning back in February, when a fire broke out at their house.
She and her aunt got out, then realized little Alexander was still inside.
Rosalinda ran back inside and brought Alexander out.
During Thursday’s year-end awards at Pecos Elementary, Roswell Fire Chief Devin Graham presented Rosalinda with a plaque for her bravery and quick thinking.
