Police clear Rio Rancho post office following bomb threat

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Police have given the all-clear after a Rio Rancho post office was evacuated Tuesday due to reports of a bomb threat.

The post office is located near Pinetree and Southern Boulevard was closed while police investigated. The Rio Rancho Fire Department tweeted out that the Esther Bone Library was also closed.

Rio Rancho police gave the all-clear around 1:45 p.m. They ask anyone with information to contact the U.S. Postal Inspectors.
