Rio Rancho city councilor resigns

New Mexico

It is now up to the mayor of Rio Rancho to appoint a new city councilor.

“It is with a heavy heart that I am vacating my seat,” said Councilor Dawnn Robinson.

Councilor Robinson announced she is resigning to move to Atlanta with her family. At the meeting, Mayor Greg Hull commended Robinson for her work for District 2.

Hull will review applications and appoint her replacement. The governing body must confirm the appointment, who will serve until next year’s municipal election.
