Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is asking lawmakers to quickly send her non-controversial bills through that were blocked by former Gov. Susana Martinez.

This would be through a rocket docket, which would include fewer meetings.

Republican New Mexico House Minority Leader James Townsend said the GOP will oppose the idea.

He said it could deny 19 new House members the opportunity to fully elevate. He also fears things like tax implications may be glossed over,
