Rep. Deb Haaland says she will not run for the U.S. Senate

One of New Mexico’s U.S. Representatives says she will not be making a run for a seat in the Senate. 

Representative Deb Haaland tweeted she will pass on the chance to run for the seat soon to be left vacant by retiring Senator Tom Udall. Haaland is saying she wants to focus on accomplishing things in her current congressional seat. 

Meanwhile, the Santa Fe New Mexican is reporting that Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver will announce her senate race intentions later this month.
