A multi-agency task force is now investigating a shooting involving a Las Cruces police officer.
Police say around 7:30 Thursday night, officers were called to a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of Tiffany Drive.
Police say an officer fired his weapon and one person was taken to a local hospital.
Investigators say the officer who fired his weapon will be placed on administrative leave.
