Officials investigate plane crash in Texico

Officials are investigating a plane crash at the New Mexico-Texas border.

The Curry County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a downed aircraft in Texico around 5 p.m. Monday night.

The pilot, 26-year-old Keaton Reed and two other passengers, 63-year-old John Reed and 57-year-old Cammy Reed were returning to Clovis from Austin.

The pilot says the plane experienced fuel issues causing a loss of power.

The pilot was able to glide the plane to the ground without any landing gear.

Cammy Reed was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out, the other two were not injured.
