Two New Mexico State University professors are traveling the state to collect stories about life in rural New Mexico.

Professor Mary Alice Scott and Assistant Professor Kelly Jenks are working together with the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum to record “oral histories” of New Mexico residents.

It’s all part of an effort to preserve the life history of people during the early and mid-1900’s.

Scott and Jenks are conducting interviews throughout the summer and will likely share some of the stories in a series of public talks.
