Grocery stores now have an easier path to going green.

New Mexico’s State’s College of Engineering has partnered with Massachusetts based non-profit Manomet to make it easier for grocers to earn their grocery stewardship certification.

The grocery sustainability program assesses everything from seals on walk-in freezers to meat and produce cases and their ventilation systems to cut down on energy use.
