NM senators introduce legislation in support of renewable energy

New Mexico News

WASHINGTON (KRQE) – U.S. Senators are introducing legislation to get the nation to 50 percent renewable electricity by 2035.

The bill creates a federal standard that increases required annual sales from renewable electricity in all 50 states.

U.S. Senators Udall and Heinrich are leading the charge. They say the plan will allow us to reach standards that must be met worldwide to respond to climate change.
