Law enforcement officials from across New Mexico are joining a nationwide trend that’s taking over social media.
Video shows Deputy Cotton of the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Department belting out a spirited version of Vanessa Carlton’s “A Thousand Miles.”
Cotton is just the latest deputy to join the challenge.
Over the weekend, Eddy County Sheriff Lt. Victor Martinez, busted out with his own lip sync video.
Four officers from Hobbs also joined the unofficial battle.
The lip-syncing trend started last month when a sheriff’s deputy in Texas posted a video of himself singing in his cruiser.
