New Mexico woman furthers career with CDC

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A New Mexico woman is working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to investigate how diseases spread from animals to humans. The Santa Fe New Mexican reports 37-year-old Megin Nichols had a passion for animals since she was growing up in Cerrillos.

Now, she has been working for the CDC’s Atlanta site for nearly six years. Most recently, Nichols has been the lead of an organization within the agency, addressing COVID-19 within the food industry.
