New Mexico tourism industry sees growth for 7th straight year

For the seventh year in a row, tourism is breaking records in New Mexico. 

The state’s Tourism Department says the New Mexico True Campaign is one of the key factors, pumping $7 back into the economy for every $1 spent on advertising. 

“We are so proud of what tourism is accomplishing and the tax relief all New Mexicans are receiving. Our state is reaping the benefits of investigating in tourism,” Gov. Susana Martinez said. 

The governor says out-of-state visitors help sustain more than 100,000 jobs in New Mexico, and that tourism has been the state’s leader in job growth since 2010.
