In honor of police week, the FBI is calling attention to the case of a murdered New Mexico State Police officer.
‘Police Week’ memorializes officers killed in the line of duty, like Officer Robert Rosenbloom. He was hot during a traffic stop on 9 Mile Hill in the ’70s. One of his alleged killers is believed to still be alive hiding out in Cuba.
Monday his family spoke about their loss, and thanked agencies for their continued pursuit of justice.
“We remember him through the stories that were told to us by the officers that served with him, his friends and family,” said Officer Rosenbloom’s son.
Agents on the case are putting pressure on Cuba to extradite the suspect in Rosenbloom’s case back to the U.S.
