A fighter jet that once tore through the sky made a much slower paced journey to its new resting place at an Alamogordo museum, taking four days to travel just 14 miles.

The New Mexico Museum of Space History posted videos of the German Tornado Jet maneuvering along New Mexico highways.

The 56-foot long aircraft started its journey Saturday morning, stopping at the Otero County Fairgrounds on Sunday for the official donation to the space museum.

Tuesday morning, it finally reached its new home.
