A new Game and Fish office will provide customers with more access to nature.
The new complex on Alamo Road near the river off Coors and Paseo opened to the public Thursday morning.
Staff says the opportunity will make it easier to expand wildlife education programs to a larger and more diverse audience in the metro.
They also say the new location lends itself to the true nature of its customers.
“We’ve got a walk that you can go through and as the seasons change and those migratory birds are moving, we’ve got a nice big field that they’re going into. We’ve got a little bird watching station along that walk and that walk ultimately goes down towards the Bosque,” said Tim Cimbal with Game and Fish.
The office encourages area residents to pay a visit to the new location to get better acquainted with the wildlife in their own backyard.
