Missing woman’s car found in Taos; family raising money for P.I.

New Mexico

A California family is raising money for a private investigator after their missing daughter’s car was found in Taos.

Krista Bowman, 32, was last seen at her family’s home near Palm Springs in March 2017.

More than a year has gone by with no trace of her.

Last month, her Toyota Avalon was found at an apartment complex in Taos.

“The car they said was so dusty, and wind conditions got inside of it, rain and snow, that they weren’t able to get any forensics from the car,” Bowman’s sister, Rachel Brooks, said.

Bowman was headed to Fort Garland, Colorado to be with her boyfriend.

The family has created a GoFundMe page to pay for the private investigator as well as a cash reward.
