Martin Luther King Jr. Day closures throughout New Mexico

New Mexico

Monday, the nation is observing Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The day was observed in the United States for the first time in 1986.

MLK Day was designated as a National Day of Service by Congress in 1994.

Government offices and the US Stock Market are closed Monday.

All schools, federal, state, county and city offices are also closed in Albuquerque.

The ABQ Ride will be running on its Saturday schedule and the Rail Runner will operate on a Sunday schedule. There will also be no Rio Metro bus service.

Sandoval County Offices and the Metropolotian Court will also be closed Monday.

However, if your trash typically gets picked up on a Monday, that will not change.
