A popular holiday event in Jemez has become such a big hit, organizers are making some changes.
At the annual “Light Among the Ruins,” the historic ruins at Gisewa Pueblo are lit up with farolitos and bonfires. There is also Native American music and dance performances.
In the past, the event has been free. This year there will be a charge of $10 per adult and $5 per child to cover staffing and other costs.
Tickets will also come with assigned admission times, staggered throughout the evening to help with crowd control.
“Light Among the Ruins” is set for Saturday, Dec. 8.
