The murder case against a Nambe man accused of killing a woman and living with her body for months has been dismissed.
The decomposing body of 57-year-old Elvira Segura was found in her home back in October.
Robert Mondrian-Powell, 57-years-old, was arrested weeks later in Las Cruces.
According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Judge T. Glenn Ellington ordered him to be set free Friday after the state violated Mondrian-Powell’s right to a speedy trial.
District Attorney Marco Serna has declined to comment.
