Irish Wolfhounds to converge on Santa Fe

Hundreds on Giant Irish Wolfhounds are gearing up to strut their stuff in Santa Fe. On its hind legs, a male Irish Wolfhound can stand about 7 feet tall and weigh nearly 100 pounds.

This week, spectators at the 90th annual National Dog Show will watch as these massive creatures compete in events ranging from course racing to obedience training and a best in show competition.

Roughly 200 wolfhounds from the U.S. and Canada will be competing at Buffalo Thunder Resort from May 13 to May 17.
