As she prepares to take office, Governor-elect Michelle Lujan Grisham will have to fill more than a dozen university regent postilions around the state.
According to The Santa Fe New Mexican, that includes five appointments at the University of New Mexico alone.
Once she chooses candidates, the Senate Rules Committee will have to confirm them.
Lt. Governor-elect Howie Morales tells the New Mexican he doesn’t know when Lujan Grisham will announce her appointees.
She will take office in January.
