Game & Fish help black bear out of water tank

New Mexico

New Mexico conservations officers had a very unusual task this weekend.

They say a 250-pound black bear climbed a ladder, opened a lid and crawled into a water tank in the Guadalupe Mountains. Fortunately, the tank was not full and a rancher happened to come by to check on it.

Game and Fish later responded and roped the bear out of the tank, releasing it into the wild uninjured.
