Five charges have been dropped in the case of former Taxation and Revenue secretary Demesia Padilla

Padilla is accused of stealing $25,000 from a grading and trucking firm, a company she did accounting for.  Prosecutors say she transferred money from their account to hers.

She’s also accused of trying to pressure Taxation and Revenue workers to bury an audit of the company trying to hide the crime.
