Officials are investigating what caused a pallet business in Clovis to go up in flames early Monday morning.

It started around 4 a.m. at Lopez Pallets on Brady Avenue and Prince Street, devouring the company’s building as well as hundreds of wooden pallets.

KRQE News 13 is told the fire spread to neighboring properties, including a recycling center where as many as two dozen vehicles were destroyed.

Roads were closed from early Monday morning until about noon to help fire crews keep supply lines clear.

Officials have not released a cause, but say the fire is under investigation and is being treated as suspicious.
