Fees increase as White Sands named national park

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (KRQE)- Beginning on January 1, it will cost the public more to visit White Sands.

On Wednesday, fees will go up by $5, increasing to $25 per vehicle. The change comes after White Sands was named a national park.

Officials say that over the last 10-years, more than $4 million has been collected for renovations.
