As temperatures continue to soar, experts suggest using simple strategies to prevent leaving your kids in a hot car this summer.

They suggest things like putting your handbag by the car seat and even keeping a reminder like a stuffed animal in the passenger seat.

Almost a third of hot car fatalities happen when unattended kids are playing inside a car and accidentally lock themselves in.

Safety experts recommend locking your car doors at all times and keeping the keys out of a child’s reach.
