Elephant Butte completes water project

New Mexico

(KRQE)- Elephant Butte Lake State Park has completed a critical water project.

The park connected the waterline in the main area of the park to the public water system. Before it was connected to two unreliable water wells.

Officials say the new system is more effective, safer, and will enhance the visitor experience. The total cost of the project was more than $339,000.
