It appears a massive community in the East Mountains may be in jeopardy after an Albuquerque judge denied access to groundwater needed for the project.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, a judge rejected the developer request to access more than 100 million gallons of groundwater, annually for the massive proposed East Mountain community.

The judge ruled the proposal would harm existing water and was not conscious to water conservation.
