A driver could face charges for running a stop sign and plowing into a school bus in Carlsbad.

The Wednesday morning crash near Hopi and Thomason knocked the bus on its side.

The bus driver and two students, ages 4 and 6, were not badly hurt.

The woman driving the car and a bus aide were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay.

State Police say charges are pending against the driver of the car, but her name will not be released until she’s officially cited.
