Dogs rescued from fire in Rio Rancho

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Rio Rancho firefighters rescued two dogs from a fire Sunday night. It happened at an apartment complex on Darlene Road. Firefighters needed to use their masks to give oxygen to the dogs.

They were then treated further for smoke inhalation at the city’s Animal Resouce Center. The department says no other injuries were reported but the apartment was heavily damaged.
